The
MasterBox MB530P from Cooler Master makes for a functional and yet stylish ATX-format case with attractive design elements. It is designed with an impressive front panel which converges in a trapezoid shape towards the front and includes a tempered glass panel surrounded by steel. The MasterBox MB530P from Cooler Master in Detail
The
MasterBox MB530P is designed for mounting
ATX-, Micro-ATX- and Mini-ITX motherboards. In spite of the compact dimensions, this case offers a lot of space on the inside and therefore allows up to three radiators to be installed: the rear supports a 120 mm radiator. Additionally, the
front supports a 360 mm radiator and the roof a 240 mm.
However, if watercooling isn't your thing, the Cooler Master
MasterBox MB530P still offers impressive cooling options: the front includes three 120 mm fans with addressable RGB-LEDs as standard. Alternatively,
two 140 mm fans can be installed and the top of the case has space for two 140 mm format fans. The rear has a 120 mm pre-installed. The PSU shroud includes space for two 3,5" bays, although of course 2,5" drives can also be installed. For two further 2,5" drives, there is space on the back of the motherboard tray.
Plenty of Space for Hardware
The interior of the
MasterBox MB530P has a standard design that is nonetheless impressive with its eye for detail: multiple rubberised cable pass-throughs and 18 to 25 mm of space behind the motherboard tray enable
excellent cable management. The drives can be installed and removed in part without tools, the power supply pulls in cool air from the bottom of the case and an opening in the motherboard tray is also provided to enable the CPU cooler to be swapped with ease. The large openings at the sides of the front of the case are equipped with dust filters to enable better airflow.
The craftsmanship is high-quality and the space within the case is used in such a way as to provide maximum space for hardware. The max length for
graphics cards amounts to a full 410 mm, the CPU cooler can be 165 mm tall and the
MasterBox MB530P supports a PSU up to 180 mm in length to support some very high-end examples.
The I/O-panel offers 2x USB 3.0 ports and a microphone/headphone jack. A special feature that is included here is the
integrated, addressable RGB-LED controller for the front fans, this is compatible with the RGB-sync technologies from ASUS, ASRock, MSI and Gigabyte. It can either be connected directly to the motherboard or controlled via the dedicated button in the I/O panel. As a special feature, the RGB-illuminated power button is also addressable!
